The importance of public health in global health promotion and protection has been proven once again in recent past during COVID-19 pandemic. Every day, the public health field is working – often behind the scenes – to prevent hazards and keep people healthy. Public health improves our quality of life, helps children thrive, tracks disease outbreaks to avoid the spread of disease, ensures safety of workers, develop school nutrition programs to ensure healthy food habits among children, addresses issues like impact of climate change on health.
The Master of Public Healthprogram run under the Pundra University of Science and Technologyattempts to be renowned for excellence in public health research innovative education, and UGC approved OBE curriculawith international flavor & excellence.Our students, from diverse backgrounds, learn from, work with, and are mentored by experienced faculties and professionals who are leaders in their fields.ThisMPH program emphasizes the development of skills & competency in management, research and communications of health programs. It also use a multi-disciplinary, intersectoral approach and prepare individuals to become PH practitioners, critical thinker, researchers of PH & Policy at community district, national & international levels.

The Dept. of Public Health Program of Pundra University of Science & Technology addresses the health needs of the ethnically and socioeconomically diverse populations living in Bangladesh, especially northern region of Bangladesh. The program accomplishes this through the evaluation of students to be effective practitioners of the skills, knowledge and attitudes needed to effectively conduct public health need assessments, program planning, implementation and evaluation, and applied research to address the needs of our communities. The program also emphasizes community service with the underserved populations by working closely with local communities and national agencies, as well as to develop professional opportunities for the students of Master of Public Health Program.
